College baseball rankings: May 12 Baseball America poll released; Washington into top five

We’re inching closer and closer to the 2014 College World Series as we hit the middle of the month of May, and on Monday, the fine folks over at Baseball America released their latest top 25 rankings.

There wasn’t much significant movement at the top of the rankings for this week. Most notably, we have a new no. 5 team in the nation in the Washington Huskies who jumped one slot from no. 6 last week after they went 4-0 the last seven days.

The Virginia Cavaliers still sit firmly atop the rankings after they also went undefeated throughout the week, as both Oregon State and Louisiana-Lafayette.
