Free agents won't sign with Los Angeles Clippers, says agent

If the Los Angeles Clippers want to be players come free agency, they’ll need to rid themselves of Donald Sterling. That’s the word of an NBA agent who says he currently has clients who will not entertain the idea of playing for the Clippers as long as the Sterling family owns the franchise.

“But I know I have players who just won’t go there now, not until Sterling is gone completely. If there is even a chance that you’re going to help that guy make even one dime, a lot of guys are not going to go play there. It is going to be something they will have to deal with when July comes around.”

That sentiment isn’t exactly shocking given the reaction we’ve seen from players around the league.

More importantly is what comes of the current Clippers roster. While commissioner Adam Silver has stated that no player has expressed a desire to be removed from the Clippers roster at this point, what happens if legal action between Sterling and the NBA takes place is unknown.

Should be an interesting offseason for the Clippers, regardless.
