It hasn’t been the best of seasons for Freddy Galvis.
After going 2-for-42 over 16 games to start the season for Philadelphia, he was demoted to Triple-A. Before that, he was diagnosed with MRSA in Spring Training. On Sunday for LeHigh Valley against Gwinnett, he went full on into a wall, trying to make a catch on a foul ball and broke his collarbone.
Jim Salisbury of Comcast SportsNet says that the infielder will be out for around 6 to 8 weeks. Galvis has spent parts of the last two seasons as a utility infielder for the Phillies.
