Phoenix Coyotes sign Chris Summers to 2-year contract


The Phoenix Coyotes announced today that the franchise has signed defenseman Chris Summers to a two-year contract. General manager Doug Maloney released the information, however per club policy, no terms of the contract have been disclosed.

Summers was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the first round, 29th overall, in the 2006 entry draft.

Summers played 18 games with the Coyotes this past season and totaled 2-1-3 and 15 penalty minutes.
