The Pittsburgh Steelers were hoping to add a big wide receiver to play opposite starting wide receiver Antonio Brown, and they delivered in the fourth-round of the 2014 NFL Draft when they selected Clemson wide receiver Martavis Bryant.

Bryant, who is 6-foot-4, will provide a big red zone target and he could even start from Day 1, according to one member of the team’s coaching staff.

“I’m not going to say that he is going to start, but potentially he could,” Steelers wide receivers coach Richard Mann said, via Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “We feel like we got a guy to put opposite of Antonio Brown.”

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is “said to be thrilled” with the team’s addition of Bryant, so he could look to build a relationship with the youngster early in camp.

Bryant may not have carried the same hype as his teammate Sammy Watkins, but with his size and speed he could be a true impact playmaker for the Steelers offense who needs more weapons in the passing game.
