We are just about a month and a half away from our favorite robotic heroes exploding back onto the scene in Transformers: Age of Extinction. Late last week, it was announced that John Goodman and Ken Watanabe would be lending their voices to the cast as two members of the Autobots. Now, thanks to the people over at Empire Magazine, we now have a look at three new images from the film that feature two fan-favorites; Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.
It would seem as if Bumblebee has received some pretty amazing upgrades in the time between Transformers: Dark of the Moon and now. He is now boasting what looks like giant throwing stars on his back and shoulders and an upgraded gun.
On the other hand, we have Optimus Prime, who is looking as epic as ever. In the first of the two photos, it would seem as if the leader of the Autobots is preparing to do battle with someone.
I the second, it seems that he has found himself firmly implanted into the solid ground below and is screaming to the heavens. Judging by the destruction behind him, I would say that he is enthralled in some pretty intense battle at this point in the game.
There will certainly be a lot of look at in the new Transformers film; however, with a new cast of human characters, some fans find themselves wondering if it will hold up to the previous stories.
Thankfully, we don’t have much longer to wait before we will find out for sure.
As you probably already know, Michael Bay is returning to direct the film while legendary director Steven Spielberg serves as Executive Producer. Ehren Kruger, who wrote both Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon has penned the script for Transformers: Age of Extinction.
The film stars Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz as the father/daughter duo of Cade and Tessa Yeager. The film also stars Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Bingbing Li, Titus Welliver, and the voice talents of Peter Cullen, Mark Ryan, Robert Foxworth, Reno Wilson, and John DiMaggio, John Goodman, and Ken Watanabe.
Transformers: Age of Extinction is scheduled to be released on June 27, 2014.
