Golf bikes (video)

Cart or walking?  Is a common question in golf shops throughout the United States.  Now, the question must be changed to cart, walking, or bike?

Westin Kierland Resort in Phoenix, Arizona is testing a new ride in the golfing world, a bicycle.  Golf bikes are designed with bags on both sides of the rear wheel so it is possible to enjoy a bike ride while also enjoying a round of golf.  The video below gives a demonstration of how the bikes can be utilized on the course, video and reporting courtesy of Fox 10 Phoenix:

Will this be the next great golf invention? It is hard to say, but the exercise component should attract golfers who want to get in a quick round while also getting in a workout.

Carts have been great for speeding up play, but they have also taken away from the natural workout of walking three to four miles while playing 18 holes.  Golf bikes have the potential to combine the benefits of a cart with the benefits of walking, exercise and speed.

As mentioned in the above video, golf bikes are a fun, new way to play the game, so why not try it out?  Don’t forget to bring your helmet!
