Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: When Does the Series Return?

Tonight was the epic Season Finale of the inaugural season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. We got answers on many of the questions that we came into the episode looking for. Unfortunately, the episode sparked many questions as well. This is where the next season comes into play.

It was announced late last week that the show would be renewed for a second season. Earlier today, ABC announced their Primetime Lineup for the 2014-15 Season. It appears that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be staying in the same day of the weeks; however, the show will be moving to an hour later, which means that the show will run on Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m.

In the time in between the show’s fall finale and winter premiere, Marvel’s newest venture into television, the upcoming series Agent Carter, will be taking the place of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Now, while ABC has not officially announced a premiere date for the second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the first season of the show debuted on September 24th, so one could logically expect the next season to kick off around the same time frame.

Until then, S.H.I.E.L.D. fans will be left to ponder the tough questions. Will Fitz ever get back to the way he used to be? What means of interrogation will Coulson use to pry HYDRA intelligence out of Ward? How will Coulson proceed with rebuilding the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization from the ground up? Most importantly, just who (or what) are Skye’s parents?

Let the wait (and speculation) begin!

What did you think of tonight’s epic Season Finale? What are you most looking forward to in the next season? Furthermore, what do you think are some of the answers to the questions posed above? Let us know what you think in the comments below?
