The Minnesota Vikings stumbled their way to a 5-10 record in 2013, battling through QB issues and a porous defensive unit that finished dead last in points allowed, which ultimately led to the firing of head coach Leslie Frazier and the subsequent hiring of long-time defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.

It’s a new day in the twin cities and they’ll look to rise themselves up back into playoff contention, and that all starts with the offseason workout programs that will begin shortly.

Here’s a look at the Vikings’ schedule for the 2014 season.

OTA offseason workouts: May 28-30, June 3-5, June 9-12

Mandatory minicamp: June 17-19

In the first round of the NFL Draft this weekend, the Vikings addressed both of the issues mentioned above.

With their first selection, they took a stud pass rusher in UCLA LB Anthony Barr, and then they traded up later in the first round to select Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater, who has a very good chance of becoming an immediate starter should he impress Zimmer and the rest of the coaching staff enough.

How do you think the Vikings will do in 2014? Will Bridgewater start immediately? Let us know in the comments below.
