Rangers at Penguins: NHL announces Game 7 officials

The Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers will be meeting at CONSOL Energy Center on Tuesday night in a do-or-die Game 7 that will determine who advances to the Eastern Conference Finals against the winner of Game 7 tomorrow night between the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens.

With such a crucial game ahead, the NHL has released the names of the officiating crew that will be working tonight’s game.

They are as follows:

  • Marc Joannette, referee
  • Kevin Pollock, referee
  • Scott Driscoll, linesman
  • Steve Miller, linesman

This is the same crew that worked the Game 6 meeting between Pittsburgh and New York, which the Rangers won, 3-1.

It will be the first time during the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs that the same officiating crew worked back-to-back games in a series, according to Scouting The Refs.
