Rangers Rougned Odor loses ball in jersey

Rougned Odor had a career game last night. Granted, he’s only been in the Majors for a week, but last night he made the highlight reels.

He drove in his first career RBI and then his second on a monstrous shot to right field, leading the Rangers to a 4-0 shutout of the Houston Astros. One play he made, or didn’t make, will end up on blooper reels for years to come.

In the bottom half of the sixth inning, after he had crushed his first home run, Matt Dominguez hit a grounder to Odor. Odor went to field it on a short hop – and the ball went inside of his jersey. The ball was ruled dead and Dominguez safely reached first base.

Odor belied no shame or embarrassment as he forced the ball out between the buttons of his jersey. He seemed unfazed as he got ready for the next play. Everyone else, though, had a good laugh about it.
