The 6’4, 310-pound Daniel is from Clovis, California and attends Clovis North High School. The Trojans offered Daniel back on February 1 when he took an unofficial visit to see the Trojans’ campus.
Daniel is ranked as the country’s eighth-best defensive tackle prospect, the eighth-best overall prospect in the state of California and the 53rd-best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Daniel also had offers from just about every elite program in the country including the Alabama Crimson Tide, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oklahoma Sooners, Oregon Ducks and Stanford Cardinal, among others.
He was previously committed to the Washington Huskies, but decommitted when Huskies’ head coach Steve Sarkisian left the Huskies to take over the Trojans’ program.
