The highly successful HBO series “Game of Thrones” is based off of the fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire written by author George R.R. Martin. While the show is rapidly progressing, Martin is continuing to work on the novel series and he was recently asked whether he would be finished with the novels before the HBO series caught up.
When Martin was asked about his progress in the books and if he would be done by the time the series caught up, he had a very simple response.
“Who the hell knows,” Martin told TMZ.
Martin has yet to start the final book of the series because he is still currently working on the next to last book titled The Winds of Winter.
Everyone knew that Martin was currently working on The Winds of Winter, but he doesn’t seem to be in any hurry to get the book done. Instead, he will go through his normal process and make sure he produces quality novels for those that have been following the series before the television adaptation surfaced on HBO.
While we wait for further updates on George R.R. Martin’s books, let’s turn our attention back to the television series and catch up with this past weekend’s episode, “The Laws of Gods and Men.”
