Last Thursday, Jadeveon Clowney etched his name in the history books as the latest top overall pick in the NFL Draft when he was chosen by the Houston Texans to get the event kicked off. With that distinction, there are sure to be a lot of endorsements that will drop into his lap, and he recently inked his name on one of those, signing a partnership agreement with Wilson Sporting Goods, the company announced recently.

"Wilson Sporting Goods Co. is proud to announce its new partnership with NFL Draft prospect, Jadeveon Clowney. The former University of South Carolina All-American Defensive End and projected high first round draft pick is known for his tenacity on the field, his uncanny quickness and highlight reel hits."

Clowney’s deal will make him the new face of the Wilson Football line as they roll out new apparel including their new GST gloves and other protective gear.

In a brief statement, Clowney said that he’s looking forward to working with Wilson to make sure that he becomes one of the best in the game.

“It’s time for me to go to work,” said Clowney. “I want to be the best in the game, so I’m working with Wilson to make sure I have the tools I need to perform at the highest level.”
