It looks like the 36-year-old hip-hop artist has found some free time between rapping and acting as Billboard has announced that Ludacris will host the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.
The 2014 Billboard Music Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada at 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time, airing on ABC.
Following up Tracy Morgan who hosted the show last year, the Grammy-nominated artist will have no problem entertaining millions as he’s shown a comedic side throughout his career.
While Ludacris hosts the show, artists such as Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grade, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry (via satellite) and Lorde will take the stage and perform recent hits. There are also a few rumors that there will be a Michael Jackson hologram performance similar to what we saw with Tupac at the Coachella during Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s set in 2013.
On the competition side, artists Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, and every other top name artist you can’t think of will compete for awards such as “Top Artist”, “Top Billboard 200 Artist”, “Top Touring Artist”, and “Top New Artist”.
Pop/Latina star Jennifer Lopez will be awarded the “Icon Award”, an award that has delivered to music legends. Prince was given the award last year.
