Mixed martial arts fans should be familiar with the name Jason “Mayhem” Miller. After a few run-ins with the law following what appeared to be the MMA of his career, Miller disappeared from the headlines and hasn’t been heard from much. That could all be changing soon.
According to Bellator 120 headliner Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Miller has helped him train for his upcoming fight with Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal.
Not only has Miller been helping Rampage train, but now that his knee problems have been sorted out the former UFC champion says that Miller has decided to make a comeback in the sport.
“I mean, Mayhem knows King Mo in and out,” said Jackson, via MMA.tv. “Mayhem trained with a lot of different people in MMA, and he mimicked King Mo perfectly.
“Mayhem is a great training partner and sparring partner. He’s very knowledgeable in MMA. And you know, Mayhem saw me make a comeback, and that has motivated him to make a comeback. So he has decided to make a comeback in MMA. He finally got his knee fixed.”
There is no word on how soon or for what promotion Mayhem would fight, but it will be interesting to see where he ends up if he is serious about a return to fighting.
At the very least, we should be treated to a few more entertaining walkouts if the promotion permits.
