The Oklahoma City Thunder got a big win the other night after Russell Westbrook hit some late game free throws, and one of the most famous images from the game shows Thunder forward Kevin Durant sitting across the ring not watching.

Well now Durant has explained why he doesn’t watch the free throws to Darnell Mayberry of NewsOK.com.

"Q: What can you tell us about not being able to watch the free throws that Russ took at the end?A: I’ve been doing that all year, especially late in the games. It’s not like I don’t trust my guys to make the free throws. I think I’m just bad luck. Every time I go to a Redskins game we lose. Every time I watch a Texas game we lose. Every time I watch something it’s not going the way I want it to go. So I have to turn my head."

And they said only baseball players were superstitious.
