Nebraska Football Recruiting: Three-star DB Aaron Williams commits to Cornhuskers

The Nebraska Cornhuskers added their 11th commitment to the 2015 class with the addition of three-star safety Aaron Williams (Atlanta, Ga. Carver), according to Kipp Adams of 247Sports who first reported the news.

Williams is the No. 836 player overall, the No. 61 ranked safety and the No. 81 ranked player in the state of Georgia according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The 5-11, 183-pound defensive back who potentially could make the move to cornerback picked up the offer from Nebraska two weeks after national signing day this February and picked the Huskers over offers from Duke, Mississippi State, Wake Forest, Indiana and Ole Miss, among others.

Williams visited in early April according to his timeline of events on his 247Sports page and is the only program he has visited this year.

Nebraska now has the No. 11 ranked class in the nation and the No. 2 class in the Big Ten, trailing only the Penn State Nittany Lions who have the No. 2 class, according to the 247Sports team rankings.

Of the 11 commitments so far for Nebraska, the top two are four-star defensive back prospects with Eric Lee ( Littleton, Co. Valor Christian) the headliner of the group followed by athlete Avery Patterson (Colorado Springs, Co. Pine Creek) who projects as a defensive back.
