Robot throws out first pitch at Diamondbacks-Nationals game (Video)

Robots have taken another step in their quest for world domination after this one threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a game between the Diamondbacks and Nationals.

Behold the harbinger of your future robot overlords, and cringe in terror puny humans.

Okay maybe it’s not as scary as that. This robot wasn’t exactly invented by Cyberdyne Systems after all. It was created by some high school students.

And it’s wearing a t-shirt. I can’t bring myself to fear a robot wearing a t-shirt.

We’re a long way from Bruce the first pitch throwing robot to the liquid-metal Terminator chasing Arnold Schwarzenegger around.

I think. But then again, who knows. These kids are smart enough to create a robot that can throw a baseball, who knows what else they might be working on?

The thing they’re currently cobbling together in their lab could end up being the robot that finally takes over the entire world. Or they could just be drinking Pepsi, listening to Lorde and making out. I don’t really know.
