Although the Cincinnati Bengals have been discussing a contract extension with starting quarterback Andy Dalton, they are still looking to bring more talent in to join Dalton.

Last week, they selected former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron in the fifth round of the NFL Draft and have since added another quarterback to the roster.

According to the Bengals’ official twitter account, they have quarterback Matt Scott off of waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals.

After drafting former Central Florida Knights’ signal-caller Blake Bortles with the third-overall pick and then signing former Miami Hurricanes’ quarterback Stephen Morris as an undrafted free agent, the Jacksonville Jaguars released Scott.

The Bengals released veteran quarterback Josh Johnson earlier this week and was quickly scooped up by the San Francisco 49ers.

Scott, a former Arizona Wildcat, went undrafted last year and was signed by the Jaguars twice (once after being added to the practice squad).

The Bengals also signed veteran Jason Campbell, so it is hard to see Scott making the roster.
