The Los Angeles Clippers season may be over but that doesn’t mean their players are going to just sit around and wait to see what happens next with the team. Blake Griffin, who hasn’t been shy about his disgust with the Donald Sterling situation, is planning on getting as far away from Los Angeles as possible this summer and will be joining Team USA in their bid to win the FIBA World Cup.
“You can learn from players [on Team USA] and playing under Coach K,” Griffin said, via Arash Markazi. “I look to use that as a learning experience to grow my game.”
the World Cup will be held in Spain this year and will basically be what we see out of basketball at the Summer Olympics, sans the rest of the Olympics. Griffin will be one of many NBA stars making the trip to Spain for the FIBA World Cup and while Griffin is getting away from the Donald Sterling headache, fans too will be able to watch basketball this summer without having to hear his name spoken.
