The NBA Draft Combine is this weekend in Chicago and teams are already looking at prospects they want to draft and getting a better look at what they can offer. One of those teams are the Detroit Pistons and the player they seem to be high on is UCLA sharpshooter Zach LaVine.
According to Keith Langlois of Pistons.com, the team has met with LaVine at the combine and that seems to imply a certain level of interest.
Now, interest in LaVine is something to pay attention to as the Pistons would really only be acquiring him in a draft-and-trade situation since they’re not going to spend a lottery pick on a guy projected in the middle of the round. That being said, LaVine is the type of prospect who could use these few weeks before the draft to raise his profile and sneak into the lottery.
Either way, Detroit is looking into guards with their combine visits which is telling as to what they seem to be considering as the draft approaches.
