Oakland Raiders announce signing of 11 undrafted free agents
The Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie announced the official signing of eleven undrafted free agents.
The following are the new additions to the Raiders:
George Atkinson, III – RB – 6’1” – 218 lbs – Notre Dame
Totaled 943 rushing yards on 153 attempts and 10 touchdowns over his career; playing three seasons with Notre Dame.
D.J. Coles – WR – 6’3” – 225 lbs – Virginia Tech
Playing four years with Virginia Tech, Coles had 64 receptions for 894 yards and nine touchdowns in 50 games.
Mike Davis – WR – 6’0” – 189 lbs – Texas
Davis played four years at Texas, finishing with 200 receptions, 2,753 receiving yards, and 18 touchdowns. He played 49 games, starting 38.
Carlos Fields – LB – 6’1” – 238 lbs – Winston-Salem State
Throughout his three years at Winston-Salem State, Fields received Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors in the CIAA his senior season. His totaled 47 games with 321 tackles, eight sacks and five interceptions.
Noel Grigsby – WR – 5’10” – 185 lbs – San Jose State
Grigsby is representing the only local player drafted. He finished his time at San Jose State with 3,121 receiving yards on 237 receptions and 17 touchdowns; taking the lead in the school’s history.
Dan Kistler – T – 6’7” – 315 lbs – Montana
Kistler started 42 of his 48 career games throughout his four seasons at Montana.
Erle Ladson – T – 6’6” – 346 lbs – Delaware
Ladson started 23 of his 48 career games throughout his four seasons at Delaware.
Jake Murphy – TE – 6’4” – 249 lbs – Utah
Murphy started 14 of his 30 career games throughout his three seasons with Utah. He totaled 63 receptions for 830 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Seth Roberts – WR – 6’2” – 196 lbs – West Alabama
Roberts played two seasons with West Alabama, finishing with 62 receptions for 1,169 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Scott Simonson – TE – 6’5” 249 lbs – Assumption
Simonson played four years at Assumption, catching 39 passes for 604 yards and five touchdowns his senior year.
Karl Williams – FB – 6’0” – 244 lbs – Utah
Williams started five of his 36 games over three seasons with Utah.. He rushed 15 times for 51 yards his senior year.
