Today, 2K Sports has announced that NBA 2K15 will feature 25 Euroleague basketball teams.
After adding the likes of Real Madrid, CSKA Moscow, FC Barcelona, and other big name Euro teams, it’s no surprise that they are expanding a feature that likely draws the eyes of global consumers. Per the press release, a few of the new teams included in 2K15 will be Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar, FC Bayern Munich, and Stelmet Zielona Gora.
According to the President of Visual Concepts Greg Thomas, the expansion was due to the healthy response to the initial introduction of Euroleague basketball in NBA 2K14.
“The global response to the integration of Euroleague teams into the NBA 2K series last year was fantastic, and a key factor in our decision to include the full complement of 2013-14 Euroleague teams in NBA 2K15. We know there’s a huge passion for basketball in Europe, and we’re excited to further expand the number of playable European teams to make this the most comprehensive basketball game ever.”
Along with the news, 2K has released a trailer to support the integration of some of the best international basketball teams in the world which features Real Madrid guard Sergio Lull.
Announced last week, Kevin Durant, the 2013-14 NBA MVP will grace the cover of the upcoming NBA simulation.
NBA 2K15 will be available October 7 for all major game systems.
