Ubisoft is preparing to launch Watch Dogs in less than two weeks, and decided to have some fun with the public, while also promoting the game.
They released a video online where they trick people into believing that their smartphone can hack into anything.
The video begins with customers entering a phone repair shop, and the owner supposedly fixes their phones. He then installs an app on their phones, and informs them the application can do special things. The owner uses the phone to turn the lights on and off in his store, and does the same thing to lights on the street.
Also the phone is used to steal cars on the street, get money from an ATM and causes a traffic accident. The best part of the video is at the end, when the police show up wondering what happened.
Then once the police take their phones, a message pops up on it saying that you’ve just experienced what you can do in the upcoming video game Watch Dogs. Needless to say, this is a very interesting way to show people what’s possible in Watch Dogs.
Watch Dogs releases on May 27 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
