The Cleveland Indians will look to rebound against the visiting Oakland Athletics later on this evening after a huge 11-1 loss yesterday night.
Cleveland has today and tomorrow with the Athletics before welcoming in the Detroit Tigers on Monday. That will be a three game series before they hit the road starting Thursday. The Tribe made a couple roster moves before taking the field tonight against the 2013 American League West Champions.
Right-handed reliever C.C. Lee was optioned to Triple-A Columbus earlier today. The 27 year old appeared in just 13 games with the Indians, posting a high 4.76 ERA through 11 1/3 innings of work this season. He’ll serve as bullpen depth and should find himself on the Major League roster later on this year. With Lee heading back down to the Minors, left-handed pitcher T.J. House will be called up from Triple-A Columbus.
House provides the Indians with a fresh arm in the bullpen as the 24 year old reliever posted a solid 2.40 ERA on the farm. He will more than likely see some long relief work with the Indians.
