Kyle Farnsworth involved with Reds, Phillies

Recently displaced Mets closer Kyle Farnsworth does not appear to be long for the unemployment line.

Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports speculates that the Astros have the biggest need for the bullpen, but before that thought crossed his Twitter feed, Jim Duquette seemed to have some inside knowledge regarding the veteran reliever.

The Phillies would make far more sense for Farnsworth as they would give him the opportunity to face his former club on multiple occasions. After being released, Farnsworth said he felt bitter and would love to join a team that would allow him to pitch against New York. The Phillies also could use another late-inning arm as insurance for Mike Adams and Jonathan Papelbon.

It is expected that Farnsworth will get a major league deal.
