LPGA: Hee Young Park leads by one over Stacy Lewis and co. at Kingsmill

It’s the weekend on the LPGA, and Stacy Lewis is in the mix once again.  Hee Young Park leads the Kingsmill Championship by one-stroke over Lewis, Lizette Salas, and Brittany Lang.

Park has not had a top-10 all season, but has been making cuts and is currently 31st in the Race to the CME Globe.  A win is projected to move her to 12th in the Race.

Stacy Lewis is the best player in the game.  She has eight top-10s in nine events this season, and won the North Texas LPGA Shootout a couple weeks ago with a final round 64.  Park and the rest of the players in contention this week will need to play exceptional golf to keep Lewis away from the winner’s circle.

Lizette Salas has been struggling since her second place finish at the Kia Classic in March.  Hopefully, the first two rounds this week are exactly what Salas needs to get her confidence going.

Brittany Lang is having a lackluster season with only one top-10, so a high finish at Kingsmill will be a big boost to her confidence as well.

Lexi Thompson is tied for fifth place with Azahara Munoz at six-under.  Both players are having great seasons, and will have an opportunity to contend for the title this weekend.
