The Chicago Bulls have the luxury of two first round picks that will land just a pick apart from one another at no. 16 overall and No. 18 overall in the draft. The question though is what will the Bulls do with those two picks and it’s sounding like the team will be targeting shooters in the draft.
One things that the Bulls have been sorely missing over the years is a scoring threat to put alongside Derrick Rose. That need has been highlighted by the absence of Rose in which the Bulls have no shooting and have to scramble to find guys who can fill in. You can’t always get lucky and find D.J. Augustin and that’s why K.C. Johnson of The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Bulls seem high on Doug McDermott and Rodney Hood.
It’s likely that someone gets excited over McDermott and drafts him well before No. 16 overall but the chances of Hood being there are much higher. That being said, the two had opposite trips to the combine which may mean McDermott is the one available later in the draft or both could now be gone before the Bulls can get on the clock.
