Head coach Dabo Swinney got another piece to add to an improving defense when the Clemson Tigers received a pledge from cornerback Juwuan Briscoe over the weekend.

The staff at Clemson’s 24/7 Sports has the scoop.

Briscoe told me the deciding factor was “Clemson feels like home. I just love it. My connection with the coaching staff.” Briscoe toured the campus today including the Indoor Practice Facility, Academic Facilities and Death Valley. Briscoe said “I got to ride around Lake Hartwell today that was very cool. I got to meet C.J. Spiller today at the Indoor Practice Facility. I’m excited to come back for the All In BBQ.”

The 6’1, 185-pound Briscoe is from Waldorf, Maryland and attends Thomas Stone High School. He chose the Tigers over offers from the hometown Maryland Terrapins, North Carolina State Wolfpack, Old Dominion Monarchs, Rutgers Scarlet Knights and West Virginia Mountaineers.

It has been a huge week for the Tigers. They received commitments from 4-star defensive end Sterling Johnson and 3-star offensive tackle Zach Giella this week.

The Tigers now have 16 commitments and have the fourth-ranked recruiting class in the class of 2015.
