The Jacksonville Jaguars have been the butt of a lot of jokes, but head coach Gus Bradley is working hard to change the atmosphere around the team and find a way for them to emerge from the cellar of the AFC South.

Whatever the team is doing, it seems to be working because the Jaguars have excited their fan base following the 2014 NFL Draft. Jacksonville had one of the best draft classes on paper, so now they are beginning to put in the work on the field and the fans are showing up to watch them practice.

According to the Jaguars official website, a staggering amount of people — 6,214 to be exact — showed up for the team’s rookie minicamp practice on Saturday.

That number shatters the previous attendance of 4,500 for a practice.

What makes the number even more impressive is that the old record was set during training camp, while the new record is simply for a rookie minicamp. That is a clear indication of how excited the fan base is going into the season.

With a new rookie quarterback and revamped roster, the Jaguars certainly seem to be a team headed in the right direction.
