After a brief hiatus, La Roux has announced their sophomore album “Trouble in Paradise”.
La Roux’s big break came in 2009 when single “Bulletproof” made it’s way up Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. They’d soon drop their self-titled debut album “La Roux”. Despite little commercial success for the album, the duo would cap off their success at the 2011 Grammy’s. Nominated for two awards, La Roux walked away the winner of “Best Electronic/Dance” album, beating out BT, The Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, and GoldFrapp.
But now the duo is back, behind the vocals of Elly Jackson. With electronic music becoming a bigger genre by the minute, La Roux is in prime position to have a successful 2014. For those that are a bit weary on how the group will sound after taking four years off, Tim Jonze of The Guardian let out this tweet a few months back that should have fans of the duo a bit excited.
So heard the new La Roux album yesterday and it was bloody brilliant

“Trouble in Paradise” is set to release on July 8 through Interscope Records.
