The Minnesota Timberwolves are one of a handful of teams looking for a new head coach but it appears they’ve already begun stealthily conducting interviews with candidates.

According to Jerry Zgoda of The Star Tribune, the Timberwolves have already interviewed Lionel Hollins which is both a good thing and a bad thing. It’s good in the sense that it appears Flip Sauders is more on top of this coaching search than we all though, but it’s bad in that the Wolves interviewed a top target on the market and nobody knew about it.

That either means Saunders is just super crafty or Hollins interviewed and things didn’t go well one way or another. There’s hope that i’s the previous as the Wolves need to figure out their head coaching situation rather quickly as the draft is coming up and Minnesota needs to start getting some sort of plan in place so that another draft isn’t wasted.

Minnesota needs to also think about Kevin Love, who is the subject of very negative rumors again about his unhappiness with the team. That may be what is holding up a coaching hiring as a team who’s superstar is apparently demanding a trade isn’t what you’d call an attractive location to continue your career.
