Padres' Carlos Quentin listed day-to-day after tweaking groin

San Diego Padres veteran outfielder Carlos Quentin made his return to the starting lineup after opening up the 2014 campaign on the disabled list.

San Diego has been waiting for Chase Headley and Quentin to return, but things have come to a slow crawl yet again. Today against the Colorado Rockies, Quentin was running the bases and ended up tweaking his groin according to Dennis Lin on Twitter.

Last season Quentin missed a decent amount of time after breaking his collarbone in a fight with Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke. You have no choice but to hold your breath whenever Carlos goes to make any sort of play while on the field. This guy has had some terrible luck over the last couple of years and it appears that things will not change.

Rough start for the veteran outfielder but hopefully things eventually work out.
