White Sox send Jose Abreu to DL, bring back Adam Eaton

The Chicago White Sox had a “good news, bad news” roster move before they lost to the Astros on Sunday afternoon. They made the announcement on their official Facebook page.

Their good news was that center fielder Adam Eaton was re-instated from the 15-day disabled list, coming back from a strained right hamstring. He was in the starting lineup at Minute Maid Park, back to batting lead-off.

Their bad news was that one of the top contenders for Rookie of the Year, Jose Abreu was placed on the 15-day DL in his place. The right handed hitting slugger had been suffering as of late with an ankle injury and was officially diagnosed with ankle tendonitis.

Eaton went 1-for-4 with a strikeout in his return.
