Did you catch Game of Thrones on Sunday and see the appropriately-named new character Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane tower over the people of Westeros and cut them to pieces with his massive sword?

the Iceland native Hafthor Bjornsson who plays The Mountain was almost on an NFL roster as the Indianapolis Colts considering the former strongman who stands 6’9” and weighs more than 400 pounds.

According to Eric Goldschein of SportsGrid.com, Colts owner Jim Irsay considered signing Bjornsson, although he has never played the sport in his life.

One has to wonder how he would have fared blocking for Andrew Luck with his immense combination of size and brute strength, but would he have the feet to move in pass protection against speed rushers? Could he get to the second level and seal the back side?

All of that doesn’t matter because he has found success on the HBO series and was chosen as Cersei’s sword and will do battle with Oberyn who will be Tyrion Lannister’s champion in the combat.

Would you rather be on Game of Thrones or be invited to training camp of your favorite NFL team?
