The Cleveland Cavaliers have won the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft for the third time in four years and already the talks of LeBron James coming back to the team have begun. We went through this last year when they won the lottery and we’re going through it once again but this time it feels a little different

While last year Cleveland was still a miserable sports town, now they have a baseball team that went to the postseason last year, Johnny Manziel is the quarterback of the football team and the basketball team has their third No. 1 pick in four years.

Manziel, who has notable ties to LeBron James, tweeted out a cryptic tweet following the Cavaliers winning the lottery suggesting not that LeBron James will come back to Cleveland but that the Cavaliers will take Andrew Wiggins with the top pick.

Wiggins is hands down the best prospect in the draft, but he’s not the Cavaliers only option. Joel Embiid and Jabari Parker are other options that the Cavaliers can consider and all would be solid options.

But the fact that Johnny Manziel has a rooting interest in what the Cleveland Cavaliers do just goes to show how different a place Cleveland is this year from last. There’s no guarantee that the team will do anything positive with the pick, but this is the most exciting Cleveland has been in quite some time.
