There’s a very good chance that Andrew Wiggins will be the top overall selection in the NBA Draft next month, and this is something he very well knows heading in. Not even skipping the recent NBA Combine in Chicago will hurt that, and in an appearance on NBA Sirius Radio on Tuesday, with the lottery just a few hours away, Wiggins clarified just how much it’ll mean to him to be the first player taken.

It’ll mean a lot more than knowing where he’s headed.

Wiggins made a big impact in his one season in Lawrence as a member of the Kansas Jayhawks, averaging 17.1 points per game and 5.9 rebounds. He consistently got better as the season moved along, leading many to believe that he’s the player with the most potential out of this entire draft group this year.

This isn’t the first time that Wiggins has expressed his desire to be the first player selected and in regards to where he could be headed, even though he just said that it doesn’t mean all that much to him, we’ll have a better indication of a potential landing spot for the forward once the NBA Draft Lottery takes place on Tuesday evening.
