Pacers misspell Eastern Conference Finals on pad below basket (Photo)

The Indiana Pacers are set to host the Miami Heat in the second game of the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday night. The Pacers own a 1-0 lead over the Heat in the series, but there is one glaring error in the arena.

There is a typo on the padding on one of the supports for one of the baskets. It is spelled EASTFRN instead of EASTERN.

Now this could’ve been because of a player running into and knocking it off, though that’d be impressive after just one game unless it is being recycled from last year’s Eastern Conference Finals.

Maybe it was just an error in the sticker making or applying process. Either way it is a minor and silly error. I doubt they’re very concerned with changing it out before the game tonight.

The Heat certainly aren’t concerned with it, they’re looking to climb out of this 1-0 hole in the series and take home-court advantage away from the Pacers. LeBron James said he’d approach the game for the most part, but added that he has to do a “little more.”

More from Indiana Pacers

“My approach is the same every game, try to put pressure on the defense, try to get to the free-throw line to help us win,” James said, via ESPN. “I got to the rim, I got my shots going, but I’ve got to do a little more, too.”

The Pacers are expecting that.

“He (James) will shoulder everything. I think he’s going to be much more aggressive with the ball,” Pacers’ Paul George said.

“I think he’s going to be looking to make more plays, looking to shoot more shots and really looking to get guys going. It’s going to be a tough night for me, but that’s part of the league.”

The game tips of at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN after the NBA Lottery coverage.
