Rugby players use Twitter to make peace after fighting during match

You always here about the unbridled Twitter wars going on between players and other players, or players and fans, or fans and the voices in their heads. But rarely do you hear about the social network site being used as a platform for peace.

That was the case, however, for two rugby players who were involved in a rather physical incident on-field, and then took to Twitter to make sure there were no hard feelings.

Leicester’s Tom Youngs and Northampton’s Salesi Ma’afu got into a wee bit of a tussle during the Premiership playoff semifinal, ending with Ma’afu being ejected after landing a nasty punch to Youngs’ head.

Afterwards, the two tweeted some very warm regards for each other.

Richard Sherman, Roddy White, et al….please take note.
