The Shield Star Michael Jace Accused of Murdering His Wife

In the very early hours of the morning, a scene of shock and horror played out in Los Angeles. Michael Jace, who is best known for his work in the FX Original Series The Shield, stands accused of murdering his wife April at their home in Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, the actor was the one who contacted police to inform them that his wife had been shot and that he was indeed the man who pulled the trigger.

Unfortunately, the most confusing piece of this puzzle is something that we may not have answers on for quite some time; what could drive a man who seemingly has everything…a wife of whom he has been married to for over nine years, two small children at home, and a pretty decent career in the entertainment industry, to commit such a brutal crime?

What makes things even more confusing is that according to Buzzfeed, this is the first time that the Los Angeles Police Department has ever been called out to the Jace residence for a domestic violence call.

According to TMZ, after Jace called authorities he remained on the line as he was instructed by the 911 operator instructed him to and gave the police no trouble when he was taken into custody.

It is being reported by multiple outlets that the couple’s two children were indeed inside the home when the shooting occurred; however, TMZ is reporting that the two young children actually witnessed the murder and as one would imagine, they are obviously quite distraught over the incident.

At this point and time, the two young children are being cared for by family members as the authorities try to piece together what really went down within the walls of the Jace home and how to proceed.

This is certainly a horrific series of events that we are very far from uncovering all the details on. One can only hope that the couple’s two young children are receiving the support they need as the grieve the loss of their mother and try to make sense of the entire ordeal.
