Josh Beckett was yanked from Tuesday’s Dodgers-Mets game in the sixth after walking Wilmer Flores, and judging by his dugout reaction, he was not very happy about things.

In fact, it appears he was very very annoyed. Ready to twist someone’s head off and use it as a toilet, I would say. Just to leave you with a nice mental image this lovely Wednesday morning.

Beckett is not angry at Don Mattingly for yanking him, he’s mad at the umpire for calling a ball on a pitch that, judging by his lip movements, Beckett believed was “right down the GD middle.”

Was it right down the middle though? Well, here’s a pitch chart from the Flores at-bat (via Reddit) that shows Beckett’s 2-0 pitch did in fact get a huge chunk of the plate, but was called a ball.

So, Beckett has a real gripe. He also has a starring role in the next Bad Lip Reading MLB highlight reel.

Good solid display of anger by Beckett. But he keeps it contained to the dugout. He doesn’t yell at the umpire and get himself fined on top of everything. I’m guessing some clubhouse equipment got the worst of it later.
