The Chicago Blackhawks, who were victorious in Game 1 and came away with the early series lead, and Los Angeles Kings face off Wednesday night in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
For the defending Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks, they are hoping it will be business as usual on their home ice as they look to take a two-game lead in the series with them when the action shifts to Los Angeles for Game 3.
After competing in a tough division all season long, they are hoping that will help them when it matters the most in the postseason.
“We felt this year we’re in the toughest division and conference,” Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said, via ESPN.com. “We just played two real competitive series (against St. Louis and Minnesota). Every game is tight. I think finding a way to win is what it’s all about in today’s game. Our guys are really diligent of doing the little things particularly that some nights give you an edge.”
