Lately there has been a rash of people engaging in completely irresponsible behavior just for the sake of grabbing a baseball, including a shocking incident where an Angels fan totally mangled an old lady.

This GIF goes out to all these idiots who are ruining the ballpark experience for everyone else with their absurd behavior. This Red Sox fan is here to show all the over-zealous nitwits how you go about snagging a ball.

The guy is chilling in those awesome Fenway seats up the third base line with his friend, rocking the old school faded Hartford Whalers tee, when he sees a ball bounding right toward him. Does he panic? Does he flip out? Does he endanger his well-being and the well-being of those around him?

More from Boston Red Sox

No. He sits there, calm as can be, while the ball bounces into his hand. And then he hands it off to his female friend because that is what a real man does.

Remember when Pete Campbell had that day dream about killing a bear and bringing it back home to Peggy – this was way back in season 1 when they were still doing it – for her to cook, and somehow it was the coolest day dream ever?

This guy understands where Pete was coming from. And he lives it. Every day.

So, from now on idiot fans, be a little bit more like Red Sox nonchalant guy and a little less like Angels crush-old-ladies guy.
