The TCU Horned Frogs earned their 11th commitment in the class of 2015 when 3-star wide receiver/cornerback/athlete Darrion Flowers gave his pledge to the Horned Frogs on Tuesday night.
The Horned Frogs have gotten off to a fantastic start, having already secured commitments from 3-star strong-side defensive end Breylin Mitchell, 3-star athlete Tony James, 3-star outside linebacker Alec Dunham, 3-star inside linebacker Semaj Thomas, 3-star defensive tackle Joseph Broadnax, 3-star offensive tackle Cody Ford, 3-stat athlete Tre’Vontae Hights, 3-star wide receiver Jarrison Stewart, 3-star outside linebacker Mike Freeze and 3-star wide receiver JF Thomas.
The 5’9, 158-pound Flowers is from Arlington, Texas and attends Sam Houston High School. He is plays both wide receiver and cornerback, but is recognized as an athlete. Flowers is ranked as the country’s 157th-best athlete prospect, the 183rd-best overall prospect from the state of Texas and the 1,305th-best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Flowers is an excellent athlete on the track as well, who has run a 10.34 in the 100 meter dash.
Flowers also had an offer from the Houston Cougars and was drawing interest from the Baylor Bears.
Flowers rushed 50 times for 415 yards and seven touchdowns and caught 17 passes for 276 yards and four more touchdowns in 2013.
