Louisville Football Recruiting: Cardinals add pair of SEC transfers

The Louisville Cardinals pulled off a bit of a recruiting coup as they landed a pair of former four-star recruits who began their careers in the SEC as they landed commitments from former Georgia defensive back Shaq Wiggins and former Texas A&M Aggies wide receiver JaQuay Williams, according to the Twitter account of Wiggins.

The pair visited Louisville earlier this week. The decision by Wiggins to transfer to Louisville is not a big shocker as it had been reported that he would be following former Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham once he announced he would be leaving the Bulldogs program earlier this spring.

He started eight games for Georgia last season, making two interceptions, and has three years of eligibility remaining.

Williams appeared in 10 games last season for the Aggies, making four receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown. The 6-4 wide receiver has three years of eligibility remaining as well.

Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino has fared well in his return to the Cardinals as he has landed three high-profile SEC transfers including former Georgia safety Josh Harvey-Clemons.
