Pitcher Cody Campbell of the Minnesota Golden Gophers has earned himself a reputation for being the “team jokester.”

That was never more apparent to the viewing audience when a camera zoomed in on Campbell sitting in the dugout during an all-important Big Ten Tournament game against Iowa on Thursday afternoon.

A pair of thick black glasses with a gold plate on the top is one of the last things you’ll notice as you gander at Campbell in all his goofy glory.

With a scruffy black beard, blonde hair and what appears to be either dyed white strands or maybe even strips of toilet paper hanging off his beard, Campbell certainly knows how to get someone’s attention.

In the opening game of the tournament against Michigan, Campbell received a fake tattoo on his arm from one of his teammates as coach John Anderson conducted an in-game interview.

I guess if this whole baseball thing never pans out for him, he’ll surely have some sort of future in comedy.

He’s even getting his teammates in on the hilarity as well.
