Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau named College Player of the Year

USA Hockey named Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau the College Player of the Year.

Gaudreau is currently in his third season with Boston College and is leading all NCAA players with 36 goals, 44 assists and 80 points. He was also named the winner of the Hobey Baker Award as the best player in college hockey.

Gaudreau was on the Eagles roster when the team reached the Frozen Four, helping the team to this great feat.

Gaudreau made his NHL debut with the Calgary Flames on April 13 where he had one goal against the Vancouver Canucks.

Gaudreau also led the United States with 10 points in seven games at the 2014 IIHF World Championship.
