“Fire Breathing Monsters” is the name of a newly released mini-documentary featuring the NHRA. 10,000 horsepower machines literally breath fire as they race down a strip of asphalt at 330 miles per hour, and wow thousands of fans in attendance, and millions on TV.
The documentary is directed by Brent Thomas of Green Dot Films, and tracks the amazing spectacle of the NHRA through an up close view of the cars, and the people at the heart of the drama, the drivers.
2012 Top Fuel NHRA Champion Antron Brown talks about going from his nice guy face to his “gladiator face” when he straps in, and is ready to hit the gas.
16-time winner John Force says drag racing is “the ride of a lifetime.” Force has two daughters, Courtney and Brittany, who drive as well. In the documentary, Courtney says racing “is like being strapped to a rocket.”
