Nearly every other week in the MMA community there is speculation about the return of Nick Diaz. Unfortunately for his die-hard fans, every single potential return has been rebutted, refuted, or simply turned down.

Nick Diaz made his point very clear: He will only fight for $500k, or if he gets a UFC title shot. The UFC is unwilling to do either of those things, and yet fans still clamor to see Diaz back inside the Octagon.

After Matt Brown’s sensational victory at UFC Fight Night 40 two weeks ago, rumors began swirling about the possibility of a Matt Brown vs Nick Diaz fight. Dana White himself said he would be interested in booking that fight, but guess who is uninterested?

If you guessed Nick Diaz, then you would be correct. In a recent interview with PopCandies TV, Diaz explains that he does not want to fight Brown or anyone else.

“They want me to fight Matt Brown but I like Matt Brown. I love the guy. He’s a hard worker,” Diaz said, via BloodyElbow. “I’m not trying to fight nobody. I don’t want no trouble. I just want to do something big if I do anything at all. I’m not trying to hate on nobody.  I love everybody that works towards what I was working towards.

“It’s a hard game. It’s a hard life.”

Diaz sounds like he is more serious about his retirement everyday. At this point, the only fight that would bring Diaz back into the fray would be a matchup with Johny Hendricks, and the UFC seems unwilling to do that at this point.
